Double blown 474
Year: 1970
Make: Pontiac
Model: GTO Judge Pro Street

I bought this car in 2003 off Ebay from a guy named Jim Seibert in Illinois. It had been sitting in a barn for a while. Those years took their toll. When I bought it, it had a blown injected 406 Pontiac in it and the rest was suffering from sitting. In the course of the next two years, I basically replaced almost everything in and on the car. I replaced the 406 with a much stouter 474 and got rid of the injection in favor of the tried and true dual Holley carb induction. I replaced the Turbo375 trans with a Turbo400 and then replaced the Ford 9" 4.56 third member with a 4.11. I also replaced the entire cooling system, brake system, electrical system, fuel system, interior, trunk, floors, trans tunnel, firewall, front suspension, rear suspension, steering column, dash, wheels and tires, and exhaust.

The only thing I didn't replace in the first two years was the full cage, body and paint. Well, in August of 2005 I was on the way to the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk Ohio with my family and we had an accident that caused the trailer to flip with the car in it. We went on to Norwalk with the car on my open trailer anyway and when we got home, it was apparent that the body and paint was next on the list. After finding some help for the repairs, it was underway. While the body and paint were being done, I was planning another way to stand out from the crowd. I decided to try and stack two blowers on top of the 474 and see if that would work. It did and when the combination of the new paint w/ the double blowers came together, you couldn't pry the smile off my face. I didn't have the money to be the fastest or the prettiest, but I did something different and it now stands out in a crowd. I plan on racing it this summer (2007). I'll keep everyone updated.
