1967 firebird

I bought a 67 firebird w/ original 326 and drive train. I paid $1000.00 bucks for it. Was that a good price for a 67 with a siezed motor and major cancer.

OUCH!!! I paid $500.00 for my 67 400 coupe with the original 400 motor in it and drove it home, but it needed a lot of work on the body.

Depends what your plans are for it.

Are you looking to restore it or flip it or both?

Seems like a good deal if all the stuff is there...

My plans are to have the tranny rebuilt and rebuild the engine. Also replace all the sheetmetal that nees to be replaced. I want to restore the car and keep it for my son. When I was 16 my pops gave me his old 76 w/ a 301. I didnt know what I had until I was older. The only thing I didnt like was the vynil top.

Yea, look on epay. Most are waaay overpriced, though.
Ask yourself these questions: is it complete, or is there enough there to build a complete car?
Are you willing/able to do the work needed to be done to it?
If so, then you got a pretty good deal. [thumbs]

You got a good price...not a deal, but you weren't ripped off, either...these cars are getting rarer by the day.

I paid 1000 for a 78 ws6 w72 TA. motor was seized, and had cancer in the quarters and floors. 95 percent of the body was perfect though and had a complete interior. Seems to be a going price for a complete crapped out car

Not seeing the car it's hard to say, but sounds good. I bought my 67 firebird in 1988 & was a solid straight car with immaculate original interior an overhead cam 6 that ran real bad for $450.00 in 2001 I bought my 68 firebird with a 400 4spd. ran & drove, but needed everything! for $2,500.00. What i'm saying is even if you paid a little too much for it now, in 10 years it will look like a bargain

I think you got a good deal. It's hard as hell to find a complete 1st gen for that kind of money.
