I have a HVLP gun I bought a couple of years ago and never used, it has a 1.4 tip, is that too small or can I change this out?

Now if Im painting with metallic and screw up, run or whatever, can I sand this one area and reshoot it? Is painting with a metallic make it a little more complicated?

Well, Im going to start prepping my garage then the car this week. Build a paint booth out of pvc around the car and find some plastic to drape around it. I'll let you know when I shoot the car. Thanks again for all your advice, very much appreciated.

Painting it outside is next to impossible where I live, its either gusting or a breeze, very rarely is there any wind. I live a mile or so off a dirt road, no concrete driveway, only in the garage, a little rural. A guy down the road from me paints cars for a living, wont give me any advice unfortunately but he always paints in the garage with good lighting.

A candy paint job uses a light colored base coat and is top coated with the candy color, depending on how dark and deep you want it you add more coats of the candy color.
