You could buy a good turbo for what two good wastegates and an electronic boost controller cost. Then that 68/70 is still too small. I'd just sell it and buy a turbo. You'll have less headache in the end.

I agree but he asked how to make the small one work, so I'm trying to make that happen.

I could sell it but I will lose a lot of money because I just bought it new and you know how that goes. So just trying to make good with what I have..

No problem meanone, I didn't take it that way. Charlie. Too bad I'm not at the point of buying a turbo for my 4 banger yet. Would probably be perfect. I just have too much to buy for it just to get the motor built.

I know you would Mark thank you.

Just want to pass some learned knowledge down to you . When you make the headers for the 4 cyl use 1 5/8 or 1 3/4. I used 1 7/8 and I think it worked against me with spooling. If I were to do it again I would use 1 5/8 with a 3" collector..

Some of the LS guys are using 2 inch crossover pipes and are running in the 8s. Tubing size is not as important as people think I only did the size pipes I did on my headers because of the perception people had. They'd have run even better with smaller ?????. As it was I had people cackling about how they were 3 tube like it made a difference . It's all perception.

Both good points guys. Charlie, at this point I plan to run a supercharger for the low end and blow thru that with a turbo. I'm not at all sure how that affects my exhaust header piping size but, if I don't have to worry about the spooling then I can probably get away with a larger tubing size. Just not sure.
