I like the Plastic-Coat paint...I've used it for years, and it stays
on really well. I used the sliver first then the Pontiac blue metallic
makes it cover allot easier.

I have had the best results with basic singal stage, fast reducer type auto body paint.

Just take down a rattle can of the correct color engine paint to the auto body paint store and have them match it.
Its easy and inexpensive and you can lay it on better/thicker than any rattle can paint. It burns off on the exhaust ports on the heads like any other paint will do,but thats it.Its better looking all the way around.
Once you do it this way you will not go back to rattle cans.

Post Good quality Paint

Hello there. I have had very good results with Bill Hirsch Engine Enamel. High Quality Paint. Expensive though, 14 dollars a bottle I believe. High temp- high Gloss, but very correct. Pontiac metalic blue 1966 thru 1971 color. I know he makes "corporate" colors too, but who wants that? LOL Here is his site.....

I believe for street and show, the best is regular urethane enamel. Some guys even do basecoat and clear, but I would do single-stage...
