Have you ever had Lombardi's Pizza on Spring Street in Little Italy in Manhattan?

It is the first pizza place opened in NY and most of the places that are very good in New England can trace their roots (recipe) to it. It is coal fired pizza, by the pie by only. No reservations and no credit cards.

Farradays im Brooklyn was voted best Pizza in America, Umbertos of New Hyde park, plus about 10 others I know, Never had anything close any other city I have been in.

I don't doubt they make best pizzas. My grandmother was Italian immigrant. On Fridays..Saturday and Sundays, you couldn't get in the place. Made pizzas for 30 years. That's because they use the best ingredients and a pizza dough was made by hand.
