Default bracing

I'm gonna cut out my firewall out soon. I have a buyer. I was wondering whatshould i brace before the cutting starts? I will end up cutting out the floor and trunk too, but after i get my custom frame built. I just wanna know what to brace and where at? its a 70 bird thanks

Dude, that's a tough one. I take it there's no glass, doors, ect.? I'll have to do some thinking on that one.

I ened up putting my doors back on, but ya its just a shell. I will be doing it in like 3 weeks. so its no hurry, but its been 5 months since i worked on my baby, so i cant wait. I wanna make sure the car dont flex any. so i was thinking of messuring, but not sure what and make sure when i do my new frame it lines up.

id attach the body to a steel jig that wont flex like some I beams welded in a box and the body attach to it with bracing this way the body cant flex just remember to attach it in places that wont get in your way for all your plans

Easiest way??
take off ALL bolted on items.
Level the body on 4 jack stands.
And cut away.

Start at the rear floor section.
then move up to the passengers, then firewall.

As long as you've got the body leveled first.
It wont change with everything removed.

Leave the outer wheel houses in the qtr's until the main frame is built, and attached.
This will help to keep your quarters from collapsing.
Or else support the rear body panel.

The outer wheel wells will stay. I'm gonna build a new frame that runs on the inner rockers. pretty much i will be building new floors, firewall and truck. everything else will stay. i till plan to use the rear wheel, but the inner ones will have a 5 inch piece added for big meats. So starting with the rear would be better?
