History Channel-Presidents At War documentary
Watched the first part of this 2 part series tonight & at about 3/4's of the way through it they made a major video continuity blunder.
The segment on the "Italian Campaign 1943" That chronicles Eisenhower's involvement there opens with stock film footage of a USAF B-52 Stratofortress dropping ordinance over Vietnam (maybe?).
The Boeing B-52 was not in the on paper design stages until 1946 and the first actual XB-52 flying prototype did not take to the air until 1952 !
MAJOR BOZOS there at A&E /History.
So if the "History Channel" cannot get the basic historical imagery correct on a 2 part documentary that airs all over the USA how much of the other historical content in their "show" is F'ed up ?
One would think that the people in their video production department would have caught this simple error before the show went to air tonight.
Did they actually watch/review their own show or have actual technical advisors that know which military aircraft and ground equipment was used in WWII?
The A&E network is making 100's of millions of dollars a year from it's programming and that's the best quality control they can muster up?
I hope they get enough complaints and edit the video using the correct airplane from the 1940 through 1945 WWII era.
I sent them a nastygram. LOL
