Question 79 Trans AM Gas Door Question?

I've been told that the gas door on ONLY the 81 TAs had the Bird on them. Is this correct? The one on my car has no bird, but I just saw one on a 79 TA at a show I was at. I'm confused.

Your correct the 79 does not have the bird. The 81 had the bird on the and is very hard to find. I do have one if anybody is looking.

I have a bird for one. It's in mint condition, and you're not getting it MaryAnn!

My 79 never had one, but then it wasn't a T/A either.

I had a 79 trans am once. It had that plain old gas door on it. I ripped it off and stole the door off of my nieghbors 81 TA. Then I told him that a bunch of midget wrestlers came running down the street stealing license plates and cracking each other over the head with them. They accidently stole his gas door. The one who stole it then started smashing another one in the face with it, and it just crumbled to dust. I then showed him the smashed one, that was really mine. He believed it too. After that, I drove my 79 TA to town and picked up a couple hot chicks. We drove around all night talking about how cool my new gas door was. It was the best of times. :ax
