Default Part #s

The 65's never came with a 350P engine.
It was either a 326 or a 389 depending on the model and options.
The 350P did not make the scene until 1968.
That's why the guy cant find a 350 optioned 65 in his data base.
I believe the 65's did not use a cross flow radiator either.
Whats the problem is the water neck(thermostat housing) angling the wrong way for a 1965 hose to work right?
If that is the case a 1965 style water neck,if there is such an animal, would solve it if you are still running a stock type radiator.
You may have to look through the Gates master catalog yourself and find a hose with the dimensions you require.

i made sure to say that i had a '73 350p in the '65.....parts guy actually used the gates book, instead of the computer....i assumed that most all mid-size in the 64-67 era pontiac v-8's would be about the same?....i have i think original(harrison) radiator...non-a/c...edelbrock perfomer with the chrome aftermarket waterneck which angles toward pass. side....correct angle i think.....the hose that arrived had a straight waterneck angle.....should i try again, ordering for a '65 gto & don't confuse the situation with engine size?.....the gates book seemed to be missing some listings, or just not available....g.

Default Engine size

should not make a difference.
Almost all the Pontiac V8s have the same external dimensions with a very few exceptions.
The water neck angle may be the problem.Look at some pictures of an all original or restored 65 car engine bay , that may tell the tale.
