Default New main bearing available

Hey guys,

King Bearing has released a new "HP" bearing for the 3" main Pontiac. The alecular material, it's soft enough for a stock application AND blown/alcohol and nitro, as well as strong enough for everything in between.

The part number is MB5511HP and is available in std, std-X, .001, .010 and .020. 1/2 groove. They've eliminated most of their 3/4 groove versions after extensive testing. If one likes the tails, they're easy enough to carve.

Thanks to Ron Sledge of King for putting up with us harranging him for the last two years, unable to find suitable bearings for Goateous Maximus.

For builders, this is great news. For Pontiac guys, it means even more. A NEW bearing available due to popular demand! Think of it. These are basically the same main bearings we put 40 passes on (1 set) in Dirty Bird during his "reign".

Not here to sell anything. Call your engine parts people and ask about King.

My Kid used King Bearings in his 351 Ford Build, (I know but hes got to try and Beat dad his way you know?) I got special plans for him no worry's!

But any way

He went through 3 or 4 box sets trying to get a set that would actually fit in the saddles of his block and actually stay in the lock grove.

I was not impressed with the quality myself I have never seen anything like it before.
I never had the problem he had with Clevites EVER!
The supplier replaced every box, calls made to manufacture tech line confirmed that there were bad batches that were produced and our out there on shelves.
Why they havent been recalled to save manufactures name I have No idea.

Just me But I will be sticking with Clevites

Have used King bearings in most of my American Muscle engines and NO issues for over 10 years. . Love em. I cut small tail in the mains to alleviate oil hitting the bearing and trying to go underneath he main. But use the FM mains with 3/4 groove if available. Have fun.
Drag racing isn't what I do, It's who I am.
