Default New guy from IL

Hey Guys,

I'm glad I found this site, looks like a lot of experienced people here.

So..I bought my 1979 trans am about a decade ago when i was 17, I'm 26 now. It ran and looked great when i got it, but you know what happens.

After a mishap racing my brothers LT1 on the highway on the way to the super chevy show, i had to bore the block .060 and replace everything. Welcome the the world of Pontiac hahaha!

Thanks in advance for the help,

Dave

yeah i have a couple pictures but i have no idea how to post them. I set up a Fquick account with the same name (79bird99) that has some pictures. And damn, Westmont thats nice and close. You ever go to the real street drags at union grove? I try to make it out there once a month with my buddies 02 TA, my uncles procharged 07 C6, my buddies 78 vette(big block), and my little bro has a 68 VW. Hell you may have even seen it around, Flat black, cage, loud as hell. Although i just convinced him to keep it under a cover this year and get a real car haha. The cruise there is half the fun. I'll let you know when the weather gets better.
