Default front clips interchangeable on 74-81 firebird?

I 'm lookin at buying a 75 firebird with rusted out quarters and I know of a rust free shell of a 79 firebird. Will the front fenders, bumpers (front and rear) and tail lights etc from the 75 bolt on the 79 shell? Any help would be great thanks!

The bumpers, tail lights, are completely different. 76 and newer uses eurethane fascias with reinfocements, where 75 used steel bumpers. The front clip I'm not sure.

First of all, ~~~WELCOME~~~ to PZ

My suggestion would be to ask a body shop to look in their manual to see which years interchange. They usually have the info available, especially if they restore muscle cars, classics ect.

Good luck!! I have a 75 T/A

First off welcome to the board. i hope you will come join us for a bit of chit chat in the lobby.

To my knowledge the front clips can be fully swaped out from any second gen f-body. the rear bumper assembly to my knowledge are also swapable. i hope this helps some.

There does seem to be alot of 75 T/As here. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I saw a camaro front clip on a 79 firebird once. It used to drive around here all the time. It smoked like crazy. LOL! It was an ugly yellow too. But yes, the entire clip is interchangable.

the front fenders, hood, bumper will all bolt right up. the only difference with the front fenders is that the early ones had a mounting bracket for the lower valence and the later ones don't because of the different style bumpers.

in the front all you need to make the swap on the 79 is the hood, bumper, and header panel(headlights).

the rear is a little more difficult because the tail panel is different, the rear bumper will bolt up but for 79-80 they changed the way the tail lights mounted and the wiring, so you will have to modify or change the upper section of the tail panel.

A Camaro front clip on a firebird! Man thatd just look funny, you'd have to change the doors too they have different body lines. But thanks again for all the info but alas the 75 was bought out from under me, damn. But that shant stop me from finding another one. One last thing I wasn't tryin to pull a fast one but I didn't change the gender when I signed up and I'm not a girl, sorry fellas.
