Default Before and after

I am doing a custom paint job on my '77 T/A (finally) and just wanted to post some before and after pics. I'm excited to finally get it done after 5 year of no paint. lol

The first is about a year ago. The second is now. The third is a Photoshop concept of how it should look at completion in about 6 weeks.

The hood bird will be shot with clear - with purple pearl and a dab of metalflake. I wanted a muted hood bird that is only visable when light hits it just right. That's the idea anyway.

We shot 2 coats of sealer, and 3 coats of black this weekend. The black is actually a single stage paint, but I am going to let it cure fo 30-45 days, then do the hood bird and triple clearcoat.

Orange metallic is pretty popular these days. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona that's a dark metallic orange. Nice color.

I have a thing for purple though, and I didn't want the hood bird to be bright, just muted like a ghost image.
