What’s there to talk about, Big Chief that hasn’t already been said...LOL for me I can’t coment much because I don’t follow the show. Just not interested in $150,000.00 cars with $80,000.00 motors. Guys with deep pockets, check writers. Who knows if he’ll ever be back. The original premise of the show is long gone. Personally I would’ve like to see him run the CV-1 combo..so I could have some laughs.

Hey you asked, like the majority has said, it’s boring watching something you can’t relate to. Watch if you want.

I understand he just got a bunch of chassis work done on his car. With the new same heads/block combo.
If he wants to compete with the 481Xs of the world he should cll up LSM and get a billet block with Hemi/LS mains like 3 fast. Then call up Marcella and get a top end like 10 sec is getting. Then slap the twin turbos on it.
That ought to give him a better shot. He was King of the street because he was such a good driver. But No Prep has better traction and the big dogs will give him trouble with the std E heads.
At least we will find out.

Those guys in no prep kings are all running all out. Alll their tune ups are set on "kill" every round and it shows with the parts attrition/cars that cant make it back for the next round.

Huge expenses there to get it turned around for the next event let alone the next round.
Sometimes they have to thrash like a funny car crew just to make the next round.

Back in the day a lot of tracks would have a "break rule" in place.
If a car won the round but could not continue on the loser of that round (if still running) would be allowed to advance into the next round and get a second chance to go for it.
That would also keep it exciting for the crowd who came to see side by side racing , not competition bye runs.
This was usually at races that were just for the purse and there was no points system for a championship race series.
When there are points involved that's when you'll see a wounded car come up and stage so they can get points for that round win or lose. Sometimes they get lucky and the opponent screws up the start or has a mechanical problem and the wounded car will limp down the track and take the win but that's rare.

$150,000.00 cars with $80,000.00 motors is quickly turning into $200,000 cars with $100,000 engines

Yup...exactly! And they’re trying to keep a captive audience. Ratings is everything.

Here’s the thing, if your making 150,000.00 plus a year and you only need 65,000.00 to live on, then you can afford those new Marcella heads. But if your only makeing 65-75,000.then you’ll have to wait for the hand me downs but by that time guess what there’s another new head design that’s even better.

Here’s the funny thing, look at what Big Chief was able to accomplish with standard port E-heads. Think about this fact. it’s a fact, he’s had every head out there, Tiger....High Port...even had set of Wenzlers. All though those were mostly nitrous combos, but they weren’t nitrous friendly. So to speak.

Problem is the average blue collar worker is no where near $65,000 unless putting in 60-70 hours a week.
Pile on the mortgage payments and food for the family what's left?
