Default Congratulations Pontiac Winners

Last month in July at the NHRA Nationals in Sonoma California Leo Glasbrenner took home the Top Stock eliminator title.
The field was well represented by all makes & model years.
In the semifinal rounds Leo was paired up with Randi Lynn Shipp.
Two 1968 Firebirds going for it in what was virtually a heads up race (how cool is that!)
Glassbrenner 10.59 dial ;Shipp 10.53 dial = "all in" double breakout finish.
Glasbrenner ran closer to his dial 10.587 & got the win over Shipp who was .006 (10.524) under her dial in.
Then Leo ran down Jody Lang in the final for the win with a near perfect 10.595 on his 10.59 dial. Lang slowed and went long by.06
Glasbrenner Owns REMAC Transmissios & builds his own stuff.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Congratulatins to RYAN WARTER for his 1st stock eliminator win win in early August at the NHRA Northwest Nationals in Seattle.
Ryan pilots a 1975 Firebird Formula 400 and is a strong contender at national events.
This was an ALLLLLLLLLLLLPONTIAC final round! with Warter staged against Randi Lynn Shipp in her ultra consistent '68 Firebird.
Warter ran .019 rt/ 11.763 on his 11.74 dial to Shipp's chasing .017rt/ 10.636 on her 10.60 dial. Shipp's 68 just could not make up the lost ground by the stripe.
Brad Burton was there in the stock fray but got eliminated in the early rounds.

Pontiac racers going rounds at national events and taking home the awards & cash at the end of the day.

And worthy of note is Rich Fletcher's supercharged 64 Pontiac GTO who made it to the semifinal rounds of the SONOMA NO PREP BIG TIRE SHOOTOUT exhibition race.
NHRA is including /showcasing the "Big Tire/Small Tire " No prep racers this year at selected events.
The other single biggest change at NHRA national events is the time NOT being spent on track prep.
NHRA has decided to level the playing field a bit a make everyone race on the same prep surface from the stock classes all the way up to Top Fuel cars.
Lotsa teams having relearn to tune for whats there with less than perfect track condition.

I would have to check the points standings for the NHRA stock championship but Randi Lynn Shipp could possibly be taking a run at it. She's had a lot of semifinal & final round appearances this year and at least one overall win. Her car will definitely go to Indy and be pitted with Bo Butner's Pro Stock car.
Stock racers also pickup points at divisional & regional events in the LODRS.
