Post '00 Firebird Front Turn Signal Woe's Fixed

I have had left front turn signal bulbs burning out very often. Found some holes in the top of the lens assembly (water intrusion) and this seemed to fix. A month later the rash starts again. everyone I talked to steered me to electrical surge, but haven't had problems with the other lights.

Pulled the lens assembly and found a crack in the lens face. Since these are inset in the grill, rain water was being forced in the crack and would either fill the lens body or spray the bulb.

I sealed up the cracks by rubbing in silicone caulk while using a vacuum cleaner to draw it into the crack. I also drilled a small drain in the bottom and silicone greased the bulb holder gasket.

A few more rainy days here on the coast will tell the tale.
