8 & 10 are total junk

They are trying to end support for 7

When you think about it they keep trotting out these new systems like new model cars.
Planned obsolescence is their game.
Remember the turds they have pushed out?

Windows Millenium
Widows 2000
Windows Vista
Windows Santa Fe
Windows 8
and now Windows 10

98
XP
& 7 were the exceptions.

That's 8 or 9 OS revisions and repackaging since year 2000 ,or one every 1.7 years.
What a marketing scam.

I was a system admin back in the win 95,98,xp,NT days. Back then you could go into the registry and turn off the junk that ran in the background and do a few other tweaks and have a pretty solid fast trouble free system.
Now there's so much junk running plus all the information that is sent back to the mothership. Its even worse in an office environment that has various machines plus all the fees for software licensing.

So I'm not wrong in thinking my next computer should be a Mac. Actually the only thing I use my computer for is to write up contacts. Other then that I used my IPad but mostly my IPhone 6 Plus. Now that I have a wireless printer that's all I need.

I'm on my third hard drive, Microsoft sucks ! and my computer guy is a rip off. Two hard drives in one year, and lost tons of stuff, that guess what I finally figure out I don't need.

I just don't know which Mac to get!

I have been running linux since 2004. Can be installed on any PC. Lots of different distros to choose from. Hell you can even run a machine off a live CD or USB thumb drive.

Tom
I had all the bugs worked out of 98se workstatations that we had running autocad, ms office, photoshop, microstation.
Ran fast and lean and only had occasional print driver problems.

To be honest the only thing I use computer for it to write up contracts, have a program for making invoices to customers. I do have IPad mini, and wireless printer. Other then that I never use it.

You can do invoices on a tablet
Really no need for an expensive computer unless you have a need to use accounting software to run your business. But even then there are alternatives.
