Default Anyone try the 1:1 secondary link on Holley?

Just curious about the link that came with my Q850 carb that will open all four barrels simultaneously. Anyone try this on strip with slicks? Any 60ft advantage there?

in a drag car you're leaving on a trans brake and the pedal is to the boards already, the throttles are wide open, and the accelerator pumps bypassed, so the 1:1 isn't going to help any over a softer progressive linkage. a lot of the Dominator carbs basically come with a 1:1, well almost the secondaries start opening at 15% of the primaries.

on the street you'd better have a really big pump shot, really deep gear, or very high stall converter, or all of the above, to take 4 barrels of a Dominator with 1:1, otherwise it's going to stumble and bog, especially if it's an 1150 or larger carb.

actually the hot seller on ebay now is a soft progressive linkage but the damned little piece of metal costs almost $50, just to open the secondaries later but then open them very quickly to WOT from then on. It starts to open the secondaries at 40% of primary opening.
