I'll wait to see how the new engine works out ...but I kinda like the idea of having a complete spare engine.

The new heads are going on a completely different short block assy.

Thanks Gach ..I hear ya. The short block is already built...a used 474 unit I purchased that was in a race only car and had roughly one season on it. Got it from the same guy I bought the heads from. The block has block fill in the water jackets .. so I'm just gonna go with it since it has survived thus far.

I don't know if he sonic tested it ...but I certainly can ask him if he did...I have a feeling he probably did because he is real thorough and doesn't hesitate to spend and does everything first rate.
