The car made great (see scary) power.

I even stopped at the gas station and had some dude run over and say Many you drive that on the street.

I have seen that car tearing sh&^ up at the valley.LOL

What a SICK CAR.
That is about how we started the day off too which really set the tone.

Didnt get any video cause we were all over the place. 3 hrs of driving and we were in east hartland, simsbury, Canton, barkhamstead. Just all over the place beating this thing up.

Mark, I know its too bad Tomorrow looks so bad or Id be there clicking pff some times to get ready for E town.

Odly enough my car is now ready but the truck is in bad shape.
I am throwing codes P0016, P0300, P0339.
All seam to be crank pos sensor type codes or misfire codes.

I may be sh&^ out of luck for towing to the track cause the crank sensor is on back order everywhere and no one can seem to locate one.

I am assuming thats the issue but your the mechanic you tell me?
Jeff,I don`t touch the drivability complaints any more,as the customer wants everything diagnosted in 5 minutes.

I do know that the 300 is a random misfire. What engine do you have?I know that the 5.2&5.9 engines have a plate on the bottom of the intake. The gasket will get sucked in from time to time, and throw a 300 code.Have done many in the past.

Mark.

Mines a gas job 5.7 Hemi.

I did cut and grind on some bolts for the exhaust manifolds over the last year maybe it picked up some of the metal shavings.

I gotta get this figured out before the weekend.

I also need new belts in the car. AGAIN talk about a freakin waste of money the belst are like brand new. 2 years on belts is rediculous. they should be able to be inspected and re certified at the track or something.

I also dont have my 9 sec license yet, window net, or suit so I may need to dial things back to 10.00's for the event anyway.

belts are a must though to even get on the track.

I am a Tech at a Dodge Dealership. Your codes:

P0016 P0016-CRANKSHAFT/CAMSHAFT TIMING MISALIGNMENT

p0300 multiple cylinder misfire

P0339-CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR INTERMITTENT

I would throw a crank sensor at it after a visual wire harness inspection. Shoot me your Vin# and I will try to locate a Sensor for you.

Will be interesting. I was told that all I needed was an engine diaper to run in the 9.99 and faster group. I teched in with my drivers jacket and new belts (and helmet) but no mention of a suit. Hope that doesn't change. I would hate to have to bracket race. I run only to improve my times and run the car to it's capability. We'll see if I can. Mark L

Personally, I think that in a test and tune and no competition they will not bother you. But I guess it all depends on the tech.

Here's what I think, if you run like 10.20's and a couple of 10.00's and
the like a 9.90 they pretty much figure out it's not a mid 9 second car.
But if you go out and run say a 9.80 on the first pass, Your Gone!

Then again, it might all depend on the track too in how close they watch
you.

In my case when the tech guy asked me how fast will it run, I said I hope for 10.20's...LOL If you then go out and run a 1/2 second faster I think
you piss them off...who knows.

Default Racing suit

turbo69bird quote: "anyone else running 9.99 or faster without 3.2A/15 spec suit?"

I'm on alcohol (my engine & me on the weekends )and use a 3.2A/5 racing jacket & pants. I have a steel fire wall in my car which allows me to wear a 3.2A/5 instead of the 3.2A/15 fire stuff.
