Default 295/65 or 315/60/15 on '70 GTO

Hi all,
Looking to fit a 30" rear tire on my GTO. Pretty sure it's been done More than once or twice before, just wondering about potential pitfalls... Yet to do body work and need to do a patch panel in rear seat area so now is the time if modifications need to be done.
I think 295/65/15 should be pretty straight forward but I'd appreciate hearing from those who've been there/done that. Seems plenty of A body bracket cars run them with success.
What does it take? Any info/suggestions appreciated.
