Gach,
I'm ALWAYS in favor of a new, better flowing head, but come on lets use a little imagination. The CV-1........... now that imagination (for a Pontiac head), Don't give us something we already have!

KRE D-Port
E-Head
KRE High Ports
Tiger Head

Yep, I think we got the standard Pontiac head design covered!

As for my Pockets..................I'm already making OVER 1,300 HP (with a conservative tune up), Thank You very much!

I agree with you from our perspective. The more the better for us. But for the vendors, how many sets of chebby heads are sold for every pontiac head sold. It's pretty tough to make money and keep prices low enough that people will buy them.

I agree, I'd just rather have options and i like to be different then the next guy so to me More choices is a good thing, 450cfm doesn't mean the head works YET, It will be just like now with E-heads a Great Casting that our Head Porters will be able to make into a Head that Works and maybe make it less work for them and maybe they will add some other enticing features that makes it worth selling the old for the new JMO

You do mean selling the "NEW" for the "OLD"?

Edelbrock would like to thank everyone who has supported our product line throughout the years. There has been much speculation about a few of our upcoming products, so we’d like to take this opportunity to set the record straight.

NEW Pontiac D-Port:

Completely on schedule for a SEMA debut this year
Design is complete, tooling is being made right now
Improved plug location compared to the current RPM head
Improved chamber design compared to the current RPM head
Slightly downsized port from the RPM head with great preliminary mid-lift flow numbers

NEW Pontiac Victor Head (2 versions will be available):

These will be available with an extremely small port (Pro-Port) so that the heads can be finished by a professional head porter.

Version#1

12.5 degree valve angle
5/8” extended intake flange, 5/8” raised intake port (accommodates existing manifolds)
Stock pushrod location, arranged for stud and guideplate setups
Preliminary flow numbers of 350 cfm on a 4.180” bore
Stock R/A IV exhaust location
Also available without pushrod holes for “wide-port” style setups

Version#2

11 degree valve angle
1.250” extended intake flange, 1.250” raised intake port (accommodates existing manifolds)
Offset pushrod location, offset has not been finalized
Preliminary intake flow numbers of 400+ cfm on a 4.180” bore
Stock R/A IV exhaust location

There is no reason why we couldn’t offer a finished version of the Victor head, but since there are many possibilities, we could use some feedback as to what a finished Victor head should offer. Please contact the Edelbrock Tech Line (800-416-8628) with any questions, ask for Ray at extension #2818.

Here are a few preliminary pictures for you to enjoy:

Ray, thanks much for the update. What is the likelihood that a T&D rocker shaft setup currently on a set of wide ports will fit the Victor #2 with the offset TBD?

We are still trying to figure this one out. In all likely hood, a different offset will be needed, but we haven't finalized this yet.

I like the spark plug location on those new Edelbrock castings.

Hopefully we can get a raw set to work with.
