Thumbs up New project 69 convert

Here is my 69 convert project. Bought "ready for paint" yeah right. Pretty nice car. Matching numbers engine and trans. A/C car with power windows.
PHS says "special paint" Minor body work left, paint and reassemble. Interior is done, motor is done, trans is done, all parts gathered and ready(including 4 original cocktail shakers).

LMAO, one mans eye of finished body work to another man is like the difference from night and day.

Good luck, looks like you did get a big head start picking it up this way.

Yea. I'm always leery of those "ready for paint" or "95% complete".

Looks to be a nice ride.

Looks great! Like the Wife said, been there done that, many hours, and a lot of cussing to get her 69 where it is today. Keep up the good work, and continue to keep pics and post them here. Looks like you're doing it right!

Like FireBrdRestorer said, looks like you are doing it right! Keep us posted on the progress. I had a 69 Bird years ago, but sold it. Wish I had it back. Great car!

Wow that looks nice. I wish I had a rotisserie to do my car....I did mine on the garage floor.....just dont look underneath...Because my new floorpans are totally unfinished below...still see the edges of the cut off old ones and the welds.... from the top side mine is great....But I still got the original trunk and frame rails so they are grungy looking...I wish I would have done all that stuff now with the subframe too. It will take 3 times more work detailing it out in the car rather than apart.
