Dave Johnson in the old White Warrior 63 Tempest ran 9.30s with factory 63 SD iron heads. When he went to Wenzlers and aftermarket block he cut that to 8.90s at 7lb per CI.Tom

My friend found his time slips from back in the mid 90's when he was running a 1979 TA. It was not the fastest thing out there but it ran pretty damn good for what it was.

My street '73 TA (before the turbo install and cammed for nitrous) running self ported to 230 cfm @.500 6X-4's, 462 with SD455 TRW's on aluminum rods, cast crank,3700 lbs with me in it, slapper bars, 10 bolt 3:73's, 10X28 slicks, Hughes built TH400 and good converter, Wenzler first gen T ram and twin 600 Holleys. Ran N/A 11.4 @118. 150 shot dropped that to 10.2 @ 125??. Can't remember the mph for sure anymore. Also, got 14 mpg to and from the strip, 30 miles one way. The solid flat tappet cam was in the 260 @ .050 intake 268 exhaust range and .522-.530 ish net lift. It had a nasty ide but very tractable and easy to drive normally on the street. Had many compliments on the sound of the idle. It was a very low budget car.

Pretty impressive to get performance like that and 14 mpg
That's not much less than my jeep.

When I think back it was actually 13, but around our little town it dropped pretty drastically. Probably 9-10 MPG.

Yup
I have a vacuum gauge in the car
Pulled the heads off Saturday and gave to paul. He did these heads back in 2010. So it's time for a freshen up.
