Default Valve length

I have a full set of valves, aftermarket springs and retainers out of 670 heads. I was wondering if I put those longer valves in my 6X -4 heads that came with shorter valves, could I still correct the valve geometry with custom length pushrods and the right rocker studs?

I have heard that Pontiac installed some of their valves at different depths in the chambers depending on the size of the chamber but not sure if that is true.

Yup the 670 heads had different length valves for exhaust and intake, but yes you can used them in your 6X-4 heads. And adjust with different length push rods if needed. Iím not sure on all the details if they actually used different length push rods on the 670 motors
