Default My 1974 Ventura/GTO turbo build

Hi everyone. Here is my build that I have finally started on after years of collecting parts and knowledge. I have built the hot side and the cold side is almost completed. I was going to go air to air intercooler but I am going air to water instead. Here are some build pics of what I have so far

I wasn't sure you'd ever get pics up, glad you did though.

This is yet another build that shows you just need to stick with it. Nice to see the Ventura body showing its stuff too we don't see enough of those x body's

I had the hot side coated here in Az and yes these are my welds. There are more pics in my Sig where it says "build pics" too. Thank you for the positive comments. Jeff, what's going on with your car these days? Oh and my combo as far as engine is stock 389 with a summit .465/.488 lift cam, 6x heads, stock exhaust manifolds, CSU carb, tv7101 turbo, trial wastegate and blowoff, msd 6al2 digital programmable, aeromotive fuel pump and boost referenced regulator, air to water intercooler, and all plumbing and welding and well, everything else for that matter done by me

Cool build. I like that you turboed the 389". My brother and I talk about doing a 400" all the time. Your remote oil filter is neat too. I almost did that on my build. Can you post up some pictures of it?

I've been running my car on the street mostly, not racing it just driving it.

Made some banzai passes that the local airport a few times ( being a pilot has privileges) With the slow economy , young kids and paying to get my pilots lic. The car has kinda taken a back seat.

I probably use it more now than ever, just not racing it.

Now that it's winter though without heat it won't be getting much use for a while. If I can start making some $$ again next year Ill start racing it again. Kids are getting to that age where it's easier to get back to the track I think.

I still go 150 mph all the time it's just in the plane now. Lol.

Thanks for catching that for me Gach,

Micah what kind of phone is it that you can't upload? I uploaded from my phone before. Unless something changed I don't know about.

Its a droid but literally every device I have is crashing to some extent and that includes both my laptops. This phone just "pretends" to upload and never actually does it. Thanks guys for the interest and I'll do my best to keep y'all updated

Ok so update. It runs hard! With the distributor locked out at 16 degrees there's nowhere in second the tires wanna hook. They are 275s and the boost is at 8 lbs. Wow what fun!
