I find that 1931 grille emblem very interesting. This is the first one I have seen. Thanks for posting the picture and explaining what it is. There is only one 1931 Oakland in Australia that was imported around 1980 and has been converted to RHD and restored. It's owner was disappointed to find it came with a 1930 grille surround. 1931 is the only year that Oakland and Pontiac shared the exact same surround. I noticed one without a badge at a big swap meet near here and he bought it. We presumed it must have a badge that was half Oakland and half Pontiac. He has used a 1930 Oakland badge. Can anyone post a picture of a 1931 Oakland badge? Does it have the wings sticking out the side of the shield, or is it just a plain shield?

Yeah, I have one of those signs on the wall in my shop. It's a replica of the radiator badge found on all and only 1931 Pontiacs. I'm trying to find a good one for my convertible project. The one that was on it apparently got hit with a rock or something. Bent and the red cloissone material is chipped out of the top. If you actually had the badge I was gonna start wheelin and dealin with ya!
Charles Conway who trades on ebay as cxconway is apparently very good at restoring cloissone badges. A good friend of mine here in Australia had one done by him and was very pleased. I haven't seen it myself. Although he apparently does a good job he has no clue about what years have what badges and lists restored ones without knowing what year they belong to.

Hi Archieray62,

If I don't have any luck finding another that one might work to restore. Not sure how to reattach posts, though. Send me a PM and let me know what cha need for it.

Can someone help with question on roof material. Currently our '32 coupe has torn roof material that looks very much like what was used on Ford T- Cobra Long Grain. Would this be correct replacement?

I have update photos to post. Will do that soon.

Nice to see that stuff get saved. So many people just scrap things like that anymore.

Its looks bad,But its a complete car.All California sheetmetal with no rust right down to the radiator cap.

Car came out of Lodi from a barn where is was taken apart in 1959 and just left that way.

If the motor dont sell.I will put it on a stand. Detail it and it will become a conversation piece wil we bench race. Its just too cool with those split heads and dizzy in the middle.
