Default New Pontiac record for the books!

Well I just got back from Pontiac Heaven and watched Dave Wilcox run a 6.59 @ 213.5 mph on a conservative tune. He later went out for a second run and ran a 6.59 @ 213.5 MPH! Yes, that's not a typo, he ran the same time and MPH on both runs! Amazing for a Blown Alky Funny Car! Got to see many old friends including Mr. P-body, who I haven't seen in 26 years! Good to see you again Jim! Congrats on you guys acomplishments! Met Dave Wilcox and Derek[469GP69] and Jim Taylor and others. All great Pontiac People.

Turn out was a little on the light side but I guess that's to be expected with today's economy. I will post some videos of the 6.59 run and the "Fireball" video when they tried to do a firery burn out with Steve's nitro dragster. Also got a video of Robins TA as he ran an 8.70 @ 162 with his street car with mufflers! CV-1 headed also. Awesome car! Not the greatest quality videos and I kind of goofed on the Fireball video as I lowered the camera when the fireball first erupted but caught the last of it. I will post them on you-tube and post a link.

The 6.59!

And last, but not least, the "Fireball". Sorry about messing this one up. The driver had to drive off real quick to get out of the flames.

Robins video should come on line soon. Or could you view his? I still can't view it, it says video is no longer available but it said that with the other two at first and now they work.

I don't think he has a hope in hell to go much faster with that set-up.But there is nothing wrong with being the second fastest Pontiac in history. If he went much faster I would be worried about that block coming apart.IMO.

Well now... rather than toss opinions around, how about we take a more scientific approach- let's gather up all those broken IA2 blocks and start cataloging the details of the failures...
