Default Hereís what I got going on

A few years ago I had prostate cancer and went through 42 radiation treatments, Recently I was told the cancer was back. This is crazy shit, when you hear the rest of the story. Iím also type 2 diabetic. On top of having arthritis. Iím on 1000 Milligrams of Metforeman Twice a day. My blood surgar has always been under control between 90-120, check it once a day.

They recommended chemo for the cancer, recently Iíve been having trouble with my vision, they attribute it to my diabetes, I lost the sight in my right eye, every thing is blurry. So I was getting eye injections hopping it would correct the vision in my right eye.

I finally went to and eye specialist heís world Renowned, last Saturday I got a call from his office saying he wanted to see me asp. Monday appointment, thinking another eye injection, didnít end up getting one, hereís what he said, your eye condition has nothing to do with your diabetes the injections are not working.

What you have is a very rare blood disease thereís only 3 people a year diagnosed with this blood disease. Itís called Waldenstrom itís a form of blood cancer. So he recommended another cancer specialists in and we need to get an appointment, hopefully some time this week.

Thereís a couple of different treatments of plasma blood transfusion or came up in the form of a pill. Itís treatable so Iím not gonna die, itís not curable but can be put in remission, so I donít loose my eye site. hopefully my right eye will site will get better, how much Iíll just have to wait and see.

Get this the eye infections are $4000.00 each time. But I no longer need them because there doing absolutely nothing. So just have to see how it goes, it sucks only seeing out of one eye.

So just think the doctor who diagnosed that the prostate cancer was back is totally wrong. Here’s the deal every time a doctor recommends chemo he gets a $2000.00 kick back, from the drug companies. That’s a FACT!

Prostate cancer usually spreads the bones the symptoms are severe lower back pain, which I had none. I do however have arthritis in my lower back a lot of guys do too but that something that comes and goes away but not with prostate cancer that has spread to the bones. I know because my uncle had it and died with it. For the Arthritis when it flares up I take 800 of ibuprofen and it goes away. It only Flares up once in a while.

Default Fight On - Never Give Up

Lou,
That kind of personal stuff is tough to share with everyone because it is scary. But it helps you put all things in the proper perspective too.
All differences aside, everybody here has got your back spiritually.
Stay Strong & We pray.

I almost lost an eye due to a construction accident in 1983. so I can kind of empathize with with ya there.
The eye surgeon (a true master) was able to re-attach the retina and save my sight. Gotta wear a lens on that side since then but I adapted.

Medicine is doing amazing things in the field of ophthalmology these days.
Were I work is one of the leading research places in the country for ophthalmic & cancer research .Now that you have the right diagnosis & specialists you will get the right treatments.

My dad survived WWII in the Pacific, he survived flipping his roadster in 1949,he survived raising us kids, he survived being a firefighter, with great help he beat prostate cancer & later survived almost severing his foot with a chainsaw in 2013.
He is 94 taking care of a 1 acre homestead and still drivi'n his Pontiac every doggone day.

Yer gonna be with us for a long while yet.
