Nice looking stuff. Maybe I can get it out of you since Jim would not tell me.
Do the billet supports require a longer pushrod ? If so, how much longer ?
You have been through a lot. BES will get it all straightened out and you can get back behind the wheel where you belong.

Does anyone know of CVs running a nitro mix ? I have not heard of anyone doing it. Chief mixes it I understand.
Wonder if he is planning on doing it with the new heads.

I've heard methanol, but not nitromethane.

Methanol by it's self requires more boost. More compression if engine is NA
With nitro-methane/methanol mix you can turn down the boost because like with nitrous oxide the cylinder pressures are gonna go way up depending upon the nitro percentage being run. .
It all depends on the static compression ratio of the engine as to what the boost tune up with fuel will be. Requires lots of testing and data collection.
Ever hear an alcohol dragster or funny care leave? They are revved way up. They usually have some type of 2 speed trans too.

Super charged nitro car or NA A/fuel dragster will idle/ leave at/or around 2500 rpm.
almost always direct drive no trans.
All depends on the% run.

I guess I am trying to figure out the differences between your CV-1 steel shaft bases and the ones Rolland sells. They claim that no one has ever had one of their heads explode the top out like yours did with them.
Is there a height difference between the two ? Do you pushrods need to be longer vs your old rocker set up ? Are they more than just rocker stands, something to re enforce the top of the head also is my main question ?

The two outer bosses on my heads had to be machined down so the bar could lay flat. Jesel then heli-coiled those bosses and because they machined about .100-.125 off of them.

I can not comment as to whether or not anyone else had that happen with their shaft system.

Yes the height is a little different. I had to order new pushrods for the exhaust.

Per my request and Uncle Tony agreed, he reinforced the outer corners just to be on the safe side.

Thank you.
Now get out there and let that thing rip. You deserve it.
