Default Pontiac 301 Stroker Build

Go easy on me guys....I'm new to the board, but not new to loving Pontiacs!

My plan is to take a 301T block and do the following:

Full hard block fill
50's Forged 3.250" stroke
Hoping for 4.120" bore or larger
Kauffman 340cfm D-port heads
Pro-Gram Main Caps
BBC BME Rods 6.385"
Custom Ross Pistons with TS Gapless rings
Small Solid Roller
80mm Turbo

I may chop up a Wenzler Gutsram manifold and possibly add EFI.

Anyway, I've always wanted a lighter weight, small sized Pontiac motor for one of my 3rd gen Trans Ams.......so, it'll take me a while, but Ive got almost everything I need to start....

BTW..I've played with 400s and 455s.....this is literally just for me to see what I can pull off, and upset some of my BBC and Ford buddies...

The block fill may bring the weight back up to what a normal 400 block weights.

It may, although the rotating assembly will be a lot lighter.

Thanks, I'm hoping it will haul-

Going to get it running NA first to make sure it lives with whatever power it makes, then set the car up for the blow-thru....

I'm only pleasure racing against a 500HP BBC 68 Camaro, and a 525HP 65 Mustang....so I should have them covered NA Lol......

But if it survives, it might be a nice little race motor when its done....

Thanks guys, would have been way easier to put my Kaufman's on a 400 i have, but I'd rather beat my buddies with a smaller motor and a little boost.
