Default CV-1 steel shaft bases

Quote:
CV-1 steel shaft bases are back in stock after previous mch shop owner retired.
roland racing recommends these for all high effort combos. street combos can use proven guide plates and roller rockers setup w/ no issues- like hooter and kelvin poe that finished 1000 mile dragweek.
to date, there have been NO ISSUES with cv-1's in race apps when using the shown steel base rocker system....

From Facebook back in June... "Roland Racing is putting on a CV-1 top end cylinder head package sale, which includes a complete pair of as cast CV-1.1 heads, single 4 manifold, cast valve covers and also includes custom piston pocket machining all for only $3995 !!!!! Please contact Roland at #417-209-7395 and check out the website for more information www.rolandracing.com "

From February base cv1.1 head flow... From Bill btw.
Ok guys, I FINALLY had time to flow test the new as cast CV-1.1 head which the chamber as cast is sized for a 4.150 bore out of the box with a 277cc intake port, and 2.150/1.725 valve sizes, many have asked for this information and here it is
(Intake)
.100-79
.200-156
.300-224
.400-273
.500-324
.600-356
.700-355
.800-355
.900-356
1.00-358

(Exhaust)
.100-66
.200-125
.300-153
.400-191
.500-225
.600-244
.700-256
.800-260
.900-267
1.00-258...should be 268

Very good numbers for the valve size and intened 4.15 bore.
Plenty of cnc options for bigger ports and valves and flows over 450

I doubt you're buying . But figured I'd post up some info. More details contact Jim or Bill
Good information....wonder what they flow on a 4.350 bore

My heads are the earlier/original version. I think the port shape has been refined on these compared to mine.

My brother priced them out, I think the kicker for him was having to have his pistons notch. Didnít want to have to have the short block Disassembled and send the piston out. That and the springs were only good for .700 lift.

Mine flowed 380 or better as I recall on my 4.35 bore. Those attached flow numbers are on a 4.15 bore. I ordered new Diamond pistons so no big deal for me.

My cam is only 720 lift.

According to his web site, the ones heís offering for $3995.00 the springs are only good for .700 lift with steel retainers.

Did you go with better springs ? And titanium retainers. ?

Trying to remember the options it tick off

2.19" valve option
.900" lift valve spring option
Titanium retainer option

Was like $400.00 more.

The shaft rocker System was another $2000.00

$50.00 more for dominator low rise intake

The head does real well for what it was designed for. Iím guessing on a 455 4.150 bore block, 700 hp pump gas wouldnít be hard to do. Allot of choices out there.

I see on Facebook P-Dude lost connecting rod, took out the block. He was running 10.08 with his SD Performance 350 CFM head. Think itís a 535 ci Motor.
Think his car weighs 3450#ís feel bad for him.

Boy did you see that nice rocker shaft system 7T2 design. By the sounds of it neither the T&D nor the Jesel is a good choice. Bnick66 is running the T&D set up and asked if he’d be ok or should he scrap them and go with 7T2 Systems.

Wonder what 7T2 answer would be.

Be a shame if he had to spend another $2000.00
