Question Anyone who have '98-'02 T/A?

I just wondering our members who have stock or custom 1998 - 2002 Trans Am around here?

I would like to see 4th Generation Trans Am/Formula galleries.

And tell me what you got on your car.

I noticed this forum have Firebird/Trans Am TECH board: All Firebirds and Trans Am from '67-'92.

There's no '93 - '02 Firebird/Trans Am TECH board.

There are a few later f-bodies in the galleries here, but they're tough to find. You have to go to the gallery list and click through it page by page.

I have a 2001 SOM WS6 6-speed that I bought used with 17,000 miles on it. Comp Cam 221/221 114 cam with comp cam 916 springs, LS2 Timing Chain, GMMG Chambered Exhaust, MTI clear Ram Air Lid, and Excell Plug Wires for looks.

Ordered a 2002 SOM WS6 Auto brand new but sold it two years ago with 8,000 miles on it. I put in a 224/224 Comp Cam, with 916 springs, 2800 stall converter and put in a 3:42 ring/pinion since all you could get was a 3:23 since it was an auto. I put it back to stock before I sold it

My 02 TA ended up going to Jim Hudson Pontiac GMC in Columbia South Carolina. I would love to find that car again, but I do truely love my 01 just as much. I will try to post some pictures of them later tonight

I've really enjoyed my '97, learned alot about fuel injection and late models in general from working on it. I've done heads and cam with all the bolt-ons to the tune of nearly 400 rwhp and I'm currently building a 383 for it.

Awesome looking car! I'm thinking about getting a similiar type (actually that exact car, red, convertible,Firehawk, could be a different year) for a everyday driver and weekend fun car. How's the ride and comfort?

Thanks fbird. This is a fun car to drive and it is comfortable on long drives. My bride and I have gone on 2 long trips of 7 to 10 thousand miles each and no issues whatsoever. The ride is a bit stiff but I like to feel the road. Being a vert the only negative is the noise level is higher than a T-Top T/A would be.
Oh yeah, its real fast

I have an 02 SOM firehawk convertible 6 spd. I ordered it in June and got in Aug 01 #041There's a pic in my gallery if you are interested. I have about 3000 miles on it now. Did the power tour (long hauled) in it in 02 and parked it. Rub it with a diaper peroidically, and play with the older stuff now. To hard to work on but I love the LS1. I may LS1 my 3rd gen. I'm tired of the stroked 305.

Love the Firehawk. I was going to buy one back in 97 (T-Top car) and had the it about 3 days. They wanted me to take it home for a few days to see if I liked it. Not really a fan of red cars but the Firehawk was bad. Raced my buddy in his 96 Z28 and beat him. He was pissed because he had kinds of upgrades. I got pulled over 3 times in two days. Never got a ticket but that told me that I should not get the car. The car was a cop magnet. Maybe they could see my face and tell I wanted to go fast. lol

I really love the car. It does attract attention, no doubt. I think the hood is so much cleaner than the WS6 hood. Although I would argue the WS6 hood probably does a better job of capturing air from the boundary layer, and it definately has a larger frontal area. I am considering buying myself a Raptor hood for my 99 V6 convertible because I like the look so much more than the hoods offered by GM.

Default 98 > 02 TA's

Yep Last of the breed, and maybe the best? I mean technology and maybe power per cubic inch of displacement ?

In my sig. are my TA's. I have a pic of my 00 in my gallery and attached is a pic of the 01WS6. Though the 01 is not kissing the payment anymore.

Attached are a couple of pics of my latest engine build. She's strong but have to finish the tune... Good things take time ?
