I know i have said it alot lately butt a super big thank you go,s out to Gach and Turbo Louie for you recant help. I don,t think i could of done it without your help and expertise. New timing chain looks awesome, now i hope car runs well. New checking springs came in.

I didn't see where anyone answered this question.

Yes, you have to use it or get the machined spacer to replace it. Link to replacement spacer:

Just call when your ready and we can do the piston to valve and check push rod length at same time.
