Finally got a chance to work on my car a little bit more. I got my distributor back, I had it curved. Set the timing back to 14 degs. I also put a 160 deg thermostat in and a 16 lbs radiator cap on. I drove it to the gas station and abd it stayed at about 176-179. So far I'm a happy camper. Next I'll swap my radiator cap back to my old one and see what happens. Thanks for the help. On a side, note what are your thoughts on spark plug wires. Buy into the hype of the low ohm reading.
