its the basic setup from edelbrock. it lists for 819.95. i am getting a driveshaft sensor for it and a fuel/oil pressure transducer with it. Thats it for now. I will be able to read info about converter slippage and other things. it does alot of other things but i will have to learn as I go..

back in 1998 I had a red74 GTO. It was 3555 lbs(all steel cept the glassbumpers) 6x heads 290 cfm and ported Victor(both by Larry Woodward at Brandwine, super stock roller from Phil M. (used) 10.275 @ 127 MPH I payed 850.00 for the shortblock. Bruce M and I threw the short block together in the driveway. .40 over 455 Standard TRW's(not SD) Pistions in upside down and backwards. on cast rods with mopar B bolts. D45 melling pump, Big Alu Oil Pan.with built in screen. Butler pushrods. one used head gasket one new (two diffrent types) Double timing chain, I inatalled the cam with a ruler checking dot to dot. I put on the heads and intake (two different intake gaskets) Carb was a mostly stock 9375 holley. 2 in headman headers with plate that bolts to head in to 3 1/2 in top 10 shoot out Flowmaster mufflers with turn downs at the rear. THM 400 with a 8 in ATI set up for a superstock car. Car frist time out went 10.80's. I ran shell 93. I kept messing with it and got it to run eazy mid 10's. I was trying to out run my friend with a 70 Chevelle with a small block and a NOS Big Shot plate. I started shifting higher, playing fuel, low/light oil...ect. It ran a best of 10.275 @ 127 mph. Before It lost a Rod threw the side of the block. It was a fun motor but not high tech. Before that I had a orange 74 GTO. It was a .30 over 455(16-d-port) My uncle and I built It went 11.469@ 115.32 in 1992. Hyd cam motor. The frist day out with my RA4 455 in my red 74 in sep 1994 car ran 10.456 @ 126.36 With a big Lunati Solid. First full pass in my orange 74 GTO in 91 car ran 12.813 104.78 with a small crower hyd(455 with 48 d-ports). In 94 I had a 91 GTA that started @14.28 but later ran 12.68. Nice street car. Also had a 11 sec 78 GP(455 with 62's solid cam). A 74 Ventura with a stock long block 350 2bbl run 14.8, and 14.003 With a 4bbl and 068 cam and small tricks. in 02 I started building the current 91 bird. in 03 it went 9.19 @147 (477 wensler 2) Boy I have wasted lots of money! I think its time to spend some more!

That's what I thought but couldn't remember all the details. I was
asking because Dragncar is looking to do the same thing..with iron
D-port heads and I figure you could help him out this information.

John I remember when you did that....it blow me away to run that fast
on pump gas. Thanks for filling in all the blanks.

Again John glad to see you desided to build another motor...I was heart broken after you lost the motor.

That's still fast, even today. Just goes to show what can be done without breaking the bank.
