So you actually have a RAIV engine in that Z? Awesome! Nice looking car.
I remember years ago when I did auto electrical, a guy came in with a Camaro to get his electrical system painted. When I popped the hood, there was a Pontiac engine in there. I said "that's a Pontiac"! He said, "yeah, 400, I wanted it to go fast". Loved it!

Love the color choices, pleasing to the eyes. Thing about any restro project for me, no matter what brand, Chevy with a Pontiac in it or voice vs is whether or not it leaves a lasting impression, meaning it's not forgettable. That image is always stuck in your mind.

I saw a 69 Chevelle last summer that was an absolutely beautiful car, thing sounded really good to, making about 600 hp. it was paint a 67 GTO color, charcoal blue. I can still picture that car. It's crazy while I was all googly eyed over his car all he wanted talk about was my car. I'd love to own that Chevelle even tho I'm a die hard Pontiac guy.

A friend had a 67 GTO chocolate blue with tinted windows and Craiger SS wheels, god I can remember that car like it was yesterday.

That's one beautiful Camero.

Thanks Paul,
It does have a RAIV headed engine. Your customer's comment is the same one I use

Mike that color is going to pop down here in the land of the sun. Will look especially good with good rims, tires, and trim. Going to make a really good Central Cruise car.
Can you see it busting out of a smoke cloud on Central? Oh yeah, I can.

I still have plenty of work to do, started wet sanding today. Then I have to polish the trim and fix and paint the grille. Bend up a roll bar....etc

Mike, just went through your entire thread...You've come a long ways, lots of hard work paying off. Love the color, can't wait to see this one come together.

Thanks
You know how long things take when you want to get it done properly.
Kind of waiting for September when I can really get back into it. I still have to figure out what I want to do as far as the hood. Either way it's to hot for anymore bodywork or paint on a hood.

Still getting closer. Engine is broken in, no problems and everything works. Took mark for a ride last week. Still have to work on the hood and get it painted.
