With all due respect, the old faithful is a small cam for a 325 cfm head. Dave has a little bit bigger cam (Road Paver) that may be a better match.

The OF is a great cam if you're not looking to squeeze every HP out of the combo that provides great vacuum and drive-ability.

Keep is updated on the 325 head delivery, post flow sheets when you receive them..thanks.

Yeah- I thought about the SD "Road Paver" HR too, but Dave thinks I will need more gear and converter (3.42's and 3000 rpm) to make it work better- I currently have 3.08's and a 2500 rpm stall. I'm not a drag racer and prefer my gears for better top end- my only concern would be enough vacuum on the street to run my 4 wheel disc brakes.

At some point I will have to upgrade the rest of the drivetrain to handle this 455, and it will either be a T-56 or TKO-600 and a Ford 9" w/ 3.50 gears. In the meantime I will install a TH-400 along with the 455, and try to keep the full throttle launches to a minimum so I don't blow up the 10-bolt. I think after the upgraded drivetrain goes in the "Road Paver" HR would be better choice to hit the magic 600 hp mark too.

Default My 325 cfm E-heads are in the pipe!

I finally pulled the trigger and got my e-heads going- spoke to Dave Bisschop this morning and got my order going. I had contacted him a few weeks ago about ordering these heads then, but got busy with work and tied up with typical engine build issues (wrong parts, time to wrench, etc.).

I also told Dave I intend to run their "Road Paver" HR when I upgrade to a roller cam setup- might as well make this 455 a "hairy mofo". It's definitely not going to be a DD anymore with this engine-lol.

Nice Christmas present. Oh wait you'll have them way before. So what else is on Santa's list.
