Default How to Check Pushrod Length?

Ok, I'm a little confused. I have been reading up on how to check for proper valve train geometry. What is the correct procedure for checking pushrod length? I have a hydraulic cam / lifters and roller rockers. I also have an adjustable pushrod I got from Isky cams. If I set the valve lash while on the base circle, how will the valve go to full lift due to the collapse of the lifter? Some sites I have checked indicated I would have to use a solid lifter, while others say to set the valve lash on a hydraulic lifter. What am I missing here, I didn't think this would be difficult!!! LOL Thanks for the help.

You need to use a solid lifter to measure with.

Ditto what was said above but the solid lifter has to be the same length as the hyd. you are useing. check it from the bottom of lifter to where the pushrod sets in lifter.

Post Also................................

Soak 2 lifters.
You can use your hyd lifter if you use 2 weak springs on that cylinder that won't colapse the plunger.
