You're right. But I haven't been able to take advantage of that yet. But my time is coming. Mark L

Mark, Those beetles sound cool as heck....I'd love to see those.

The insurance and my old license from Wisconsin ran out last June. So I replaced the air to water intrercooler with a front mount air to air last summer. Had problems with getting the piping welded (that's another story) but got it pretty much almost completed around the end of the year. Enough that I could go to the DMV and get a new AZ title and then register/license it. But Aron called and we made the deal so I never got it titled/licensed/registered here. So I never drove it with the air to air. Frank from AllPontiac is transporting it back to WV for Aron. He has a place down here now (he's planning to open a store down here) and I just got back from taking it to his new house. From the garage onto the trailer and from the trailer to his garage, that's the most I've even moved it since last year in April. Going to miss the old TA but I have the next project to keep me warm at night, heh. I've never had the brains to do a pictoral history any of my builds. This time I'm determined to do that. So far I've been taking the pics. So far so good. Mark L

I tried to start my turbo car last weekend but the sans choke blo-thru ended up fouling the plugs trying to keep it running. I managed to get it running with a dead miss in at least two cylinders.
And I have a upper balljoint that is haunting me...It is real bad in need of replacement. Just painted my rally wheels and should have fixed it before bolting them on.

Also need some hands & feet to help bleed the brakes I just fixed.

I am not sure If I am gonna make the drags this weekend or not. I have my nephews birthday fri night. Thats when I usually load the car and get ready for sat.

I havent missed an opening day in 15 years.

Frank from allpontiac.....guy who makes the IaII blocks and tiger heads....has been moving out there slowly. He's in AZ moving stuff and for the Pontiac Heaven event and heading back east with his car trailer and agreed to take the TA. $850 in an enclosed trailer is a deal. Especially since I know he'll take care of it unlike many shippers.

thats a great deal because you know its gonna make it safe. I shipped my 69 vert and when it got here it had a dent in the tail panel. of course the seller didnt know anything about and neither did the shipper.

Only after I pitted them against eachother did I find out the truth.

The seller drove it onto the trailer and the ramp that the shipper set up kicked out. So each one blamed the other for the damage. Idiots!

I went straight out to the garage last night and got my upper balljoint changed, put in a new set of Autolite plugs to replace the AC's that fouled out on me so many times. I certainly haven't been running it lean....Plugs were black and carboned up pretty bad/wet I guess I need to run some seafoam through the system too.

I could be starting to lose those old factory rings a little too...But the car really doesnt smoke at all once it gets warmed up enough to idle on its own without the choke. I think its just rich, Also my plug gaps were under .020" to keep it from blowing out the spark like it was doing...It might have been too much reaction...SO this time I set them to .024" and I need to find a aftermarket cheap coil that will outperform the stock HEI coil without a shadow of a doubt. I'm not ready for a MSD yet....Just want a bit stronger coil. Maybe I'll find one when I go to Spring Carlisle in a few weeks.
