Posting Picture Pictures taken with digital cameras are huge files and take for ever to load specially for those with dial up. They really slow the board down not counting taking up a tremendous amount of band width. You'll have to reduce the size before you post them..here is a free progam that is real easy to use..go here and down load it for free. Resize them to 800 X 600 pixels...Thank you http://www.irfanview.net/

here's one of my cars.this is the one i plan on keeping.collecting parts and info to put it back close to how it ran when it was Ihra/Nhra record holder.

Bill Foder ran it with a 400,so we are using a 400 block with a 4.25 forged crank, with ported 4X heads from Jim at CVMS,warrior intake,Dave Hillard is helping spec out the rest of the motor.turbo 400 and ford 9 inch, still talking gears and converter.

Hi only just seen your post, sorry. Happy new year.

I had someone make it for me. he took a mould from my old steel hood then built up the cowl to follow the original bulge shape. it`s only 2 inches at the back because I didn`t want anything too obvious.
He left it in the gel coat finish instead of painting it and it looks really good.

I spoke with Bill about the car when i owned it, and offered it to him to buy it, it was one of three built, traded this car on a 77 t/a that warbird was looking to sell/trade and I wish i could get this car back, even willing to trade a 87 GN for this. Have a nice motor/foder combo that i would like to put back into this....

Question Current project

I am working on putting my '67 Firebird on the street. It was rescued from South Carolina a year ago. I live in Houma, Louisiana which is 45 miles southwest of New Orleans on the coast. Since I am waiting for parts for my 1981 Trans Am, I chose to use some parts off the shelf to get it going.

Car is sequence number 1503 and came with the following factory items:
Power Steering
Air Conditioning
Power Gluide
Power 4 wheel drum brakes
326 V-8

I have replace the subframe due to rust-out with a 1968 Camaro unit.
I update the front brakes to disc.
Converted to Saginaw 4 speed manual transmission.
I am installing a 1972 Nova 8.5 10-bolt w/ series 3 posi carraier w/ 3.42 gears.
I have installed full length floor pans along with new brake and fuel lines including a new fuel tank.

Although I have a '66 389 block hanging around, I decided to use one of my '74 350 blocks w/ 0.060 pistons. I have a Comp HE 268 cam. I had installed a set of '67 143 with new Comp valve spring kit to match cam. I pulled the heads off because I broke a rocker arm stud. After removing them I found 4 bent valves which look like they have been hitting something but the piston tops look fine. So Im now wating for the stock 4C (7.6:1 350 cid) heads to come back from the machine shop. That's a lost of almost 3 points on CR. The induction is a old "Offy" dual quad intake with two 390 Holley vac. sec. carbs. The exhaust is 3 tube full length headers with Thrush Turbos on 2.5" pipes. I have a set of Keystone Klassics 15"X8" on 235/60/15 tires. Hope these pictures upload.

Not to worry, I am building a stroker for the '81 based on a 78 XX 400 block 435 HP@4000 rpms / 575 TQ @ 2500. Then I will return to the '67 Firebird and build a Blown stroker. I have a BDS intake which is bolter to a large bore 6/71 which has been converted to gasoline. Just need the drive setup.

This is my 66,000 mile one-owner 1975 Firebird Formula 350. I bought it in Vista, California, in June of 2005 for $2,750.00 from an E-Bay auction. I had been looking for a factory silver & black non A/C car to replace a 400/4-Speed version that I lost in a divorce in 1990.

I dyno-tuned the 350 Pontiac, recurved the distributor, added an adjustable vacuum advance, completely reworked a 1977 Olds Q-Jet and installed a functional Ram Air System. I also added 1-7/8" headers and a 2.50" mandrel-bent exhaust system, to support a later increase in engine output. I obtained the 15.0" x 8.0" wheels with 4.0" B/S from Wheel Vintiques in Fresno, and completed the 'NASCAR stocker look' by fitting 255/60/15's at all four corners. The car is being built with a 'dual-purpose' street/road race theme.

Currently, I am detailing and painting the engine compartment, installing 1966 092 heads on the Pontiac 350, swapping in a hotter, cystom ground camshaft, Canton Road Race Oil Pan and swapping in a custom built M-20 4-Speed in place of the stock TH350.

Prior to complete disassembly of the front sheetmetal for cleaning and painting, the car ran a best of 14.43 @ 97mph at Bakersfield's Famoso Raceway on August 10, 2007, with nothing more than exhaust and dyno-tuning the 66,000 mile original 350 Pontiac. I will be taking the Formula back to the track again following these modifications.

This is my driver and it truly is a work in progress...Robert

Well I just bought a 79 42,000 mile one owner (besides the lot) 400 4 speed, one of 2485 WS6 Trams Am. The wife will race it while I race the GTO.
Its a nice car, never had a dent, just needs paint, decals and about 1500$ worth of interior parts. Dash is nice, needs seat covers, and kick panels, and door panels. The back half of it was in the sun, must have been under a car port or something. Found it in Medford Oregon. It was to go to the owners son but he died in the war in Iraq.
I have pics but they are 3296x2472 and the computer says I need to make them 800x600 manually. How do I do this.
The idea will be to get it in the low 12s with iron intake and RAIII manifolds. I have a 73 455 block, forged 3.25x4" crank just sitting around. And 2 sets of 48 heads with hardened seats, one set CNC ported to 265 cfm. She can start out small and work her way up once she gets used to power. Just dish the pistons and buy a set of Kens rods.
Anyway, can someone please tell me how to manually shrink the pics, thanks.
