The boss is a man of very few words sometimes...this business will do that to you over the years.

His statement probably needs no explanation , but I'll throw this in anyway...in my "just the facts" post I felt I needed to clear up a couple of things based on a lot of B.S. and rumor flying around over here.

In doing so I may have sounded like I was trying to discount Gaby/Wilson's contribution to Frank's program . That was certainly not my intention. We at Ceralli/CFM consider Gaby/Wilson a valueable part of this team and this was definately a TEAM effort . It takes a lot to run this fast with an N/A car, you have to really work hard to find just a little bit more...and that's what we found...thanks to EVERYONE involved. Again , just trying to clear the air. NO B.S. PLEASE! Johnny

You have to be able to get a set before you can work on them. That has always been the Tigers biggest issue.

Hi Guys , we have Tigers in various configurations ported in stock. they need seat work , hand blending and set-up with which ever valve/spring package you decide on. these heads are built per application, but have been available for immediate delivery for over a year now. It takes us a couple of weeks depending on schedule to produce a set to ship to you. We have two Winter projects going on with Tigers , one built by us , the other by another engine shop here in the area. As they come together I'm sure we'll have some discussion about them. The days of waiting for Tigers are long gone. How many sets do you need ? . Happy new year ! Johnny

Good news.... Glad to hear it. I think guys had stop
waiting and move on. So it's important you've made this
be known. Definitely keep us up dated on the engine build ups.

Big Speed do you have any of the Tiger heads with the moved valve centerline in stock? I still dont understand why all the heads arent made that way. I dont see the downside to doing it, only upsides to it.

EC , the sets I have are for prototyping and spoken for by people. The reason they were'nt done this way originally is because it's a bit of a challenge to fit the valves and seats next to each other AND the casting needs material added in some places to support it...we've had castings for a couple of years and we're not going to weld on catalog heads for production it's just too much work. Plus like Langer once said...you need a ton of exhaust cam to make it work...because the exhaust port and valve (1.700-1.750) end up very small. You'd have to see it up close to truly understand...very cramped fit! It can be done...but requires more work than we can put into a production head at this time. Custom sets are available though . Cheers , Johnny

So there isnt enough material in the head to move the valve without weld then? Do you know if future casting might have the extra material added to help make this move easier?

i was just playing around on the d.d.2000 and i loaded up the a.p. provided cnc tiger flow numbers to my cylinder head library. Does anybody have a "general" set of cam specs or ballpark specs they would want to share? none of the cams in the library i have on there are no where near aggressive enough for a 541 420 cfm tiger motor. i think the biggest is a 800ish/760 erson file. what kinda ball park specs are you guys using to make 1000-1100 hp?

.900-1" lift range, maybe a little more. I know 1 Pro Stock engine is at 1.240" lift now.

What is the intake port runner volume on the standard Tiger head?

Hi , if you choose a volume number for comparison , the intake port on the basic Race Ready bowl ported package is about 295cc . The Full Port like we use on Frank G'.s engine is 348cc. But it's really about CSA not volume as you know. Johnny
